Reverbathon 2026 – THANK YOU!

06th April 2026

Thank you for supporting RadioReverb

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING US – you helped raise £3k to help keep us independent and advert-free!

Brighton’s first community radio station, RadioReverb 97.2FM, celebrates its 19th birthday in 2026!

The award-winning station won its 97.2FM licence on 26th March 2007 and now broadcasts across the city of Brighton & Hove and parts of Sussex.

Its output is an eclectic mix of spoken word and music, reflecting the diverse, inclusive community of Brighton & Hove. Topics covered on-air include LGBTQ+, what’s on, local and national politics, learning disabled led content, football, food and drink,  local festivals – and far more besides. The music output features new, local, upcoming bands, and music from all genres.

Irreverent, witty, fun, and sometimes just plain naughty, RadioReverb has endured and thrived over the past 19 years thanks to its presenters, all of whom are volunteers broadcasting for the love of radio.

The anniversary was marked by the station’s annual fundraising event – THE REVERBATHON – which helps keep the station running. Broadcasting live from RadioReverb’s studio in Brighton Open Market on Saturday 2nd May and the Hope & Ruin pub on Sunday 3rd, all the money raised by the event will contribute to the running of the radio station. This will enable us to remain playlist- and advert- free.

Local businesses are still invited to partner and sponsor a show, and we invite listeners to make a donation from just £1.

Each hour a different presenter will take to the airwaves with a special edition of their unique show. Other presenters, guests and musicians will be dropping in for short sessions and chats, creating a one-off local radio event for a unique celebration of what makes Brighton & Hove the great place it is.

This is an opportunity for you to make a donation to support our unique work, or for your local business sponsor a show to get your messages out to listeners across Brighton, Hove and beyond. All the money raised during the Reverbathon goes directly back into the running of the station, upgrading equipment and giving an opportunity to bring in new shows with local voices.

RadioReverb is the sound of your city and, with its team of home-grown broadcasters, delivers an entertaining and socially conscious schedule of programs for the Brighton and Hove community.
