John Keenan – In Memoriam

We were saddened to hear of the death of John Keenan after a short illness. John was a stalwart on the airwaves and he’ll be sadly missed by the RadioReverb team and many listeners.

Pete Jones writes:

“Sad news indeed and all seemingly pretty sudden to those of us not in the know. He and I have both enjoyed the privilege of hosting Brighton’s unsigned musical talent on RadioReverb, week after week on our shows, most of my guests that come on say “oh yeah, I’ve been here once before, on that John Keenan Show!!”

“From what I knew of John, he was mad passionate about music, the support of acts, the writing around the subject as critic, his Amnesty Bookshop, fundraising & gigs, not to mention an artist in his own right, most recently in the band This Is Lot 49 alongside fellow band member Roger, who I’m very happy to say both came in to The Pete Jones Show for a live session back in 2023.

“Farewell ol’ chum, your dulcet tones shall be much missed and shall echo forever more around the stairwells and corridors of Reverb Towers.

Adios John.”
