AfroBase

AfroBase is an afro-tropical exploration of new and old, rare and scratchy, psych and funk friendly tracks. Every Tuesday at 11pm and Thursdays at Midday. With pre-release previews, new releases, long lost vinyl, cassettes, and silver discs from across the African continent and its diaspora.

AfroBase was formed back in 2002 by John Warr and Guy Morley and the weekly shows on fm and the web have now been running for over 12 years. John has been promoting and DJing African and Latin Music since the early 80s with clubs and radio shows, and Guy is a DJ, promoter and producer working with artists from the UK, Cuba and Kenya.

John continues to present the AfroBase show every week with special guests on Radio Reverb every Tuesday 11pm-Midnight and Thursdays at Midday. Check our record chart on our Juno Records and keep an eye out for our club nights with Club Africa (restarting Saturday September 24th) and amongst others.
